The primary focus of the course is to provide the student with the vocabulary, comprehension, rate and study skills vital to experiencing success in college. While building close reading, critical thinking skills, we read a variety of genres within varied media formats.  A secondary focus is to provide the skills and attitudes which will lead to lifetime recreational reading habits. Only juniors and seniors may take this elective course which gives one-half credit towards the fourth year English requirement.
